Prices are still up from last year, but slowly. There are more homes for sale than a year ago, so buyers are comparing harder. Homes still go under contract in about two weeks when they're priced right.

What October is showing
Through late October, the number of homes for sale across the Cincinnati MLS hit a new high in our weekly tracking five weeks in a row.
New contracts slowed in the last week of October to the lowest level in our tracking since July.
In the week ending 10/26, sellers cut their price about 38 times for every one who raised it.
What it means
The market isn't crashing and it isn't hot. It's a market that rewards good pricing and preparation.
